Ondo Amotekun Arrests 45 Suspected Criminals In Two Weeks

The Ondo State Security Network Agency also known as Amotekun Corps has paraded a 17 year old Sunday Adegbulu who was involved in the vandalization of transformer and 44 others engaging in various criminal activities in the State.

While addressing Journalists at the command headquarters in Akure, the commander of the corps in Ondo State, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye said a total of 45 suspected criminals involving in various criminal activities were arrested by the corps in the last 2 weeks.

The commander said one of the suspects is a 17 year old Sunday Adegbulu who was involved in vandalization of electricity transformer.

He narrated that the suspect was cutting the cables in the transformer when power supply was restored which made him to be electrocuted and he was quickly rushed to the hospital where he was later arrested.

He added that the rest of the suspects attempted to kill Sunday so that he won’t be able to reveal their identity but the command revive him and he’s presently being treated by the corps.

He added that the rest of his gangs who are on the run are being trailed and will soon be arrested.

Commander Adeleye also said one the suspected criminals is a kidnapp kingpin that was released on bail and within 48hours of his bail, there were report that the gang of the same kidnapper engaged in another kidnapping but with the effort of the Amotekun corps, they were arrested.

The commander also said there are cases of stealing, burglars and those that were arrested in connection with kidnapping and cultism. He added that as soon as investigation is completed, the suspects will be charged to Court and face the full wrath of law.

He however appealed to the good people of Ondo State that the State government is resolute in safeguarding the lives and properties of the people of Ondo State and also charged them to give the corps time and actionable information that will aid the work of the Amotekun corps in Ondo State.
