Babatunde Adefusi-Owate Becomes Fellow Of Certified Pension Institute Of Nigeria (CPIN)

Mr. Babatunde Adefusi-Owate, the Director General of Ondo State Pension Commission, has been inducted as a Fellow of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (CPIN).

The investiture which took place during a formal ceremony in Lagos on the 27th of June 2024 was is in recognition of Mr. Adefusi-Owate’s outstanding contributions to the pension sector and dedication to improving the welfare of workers on the Contributory Pension Scheme in Ondo State.

The induction ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries from the pension industry, government officials including the Inspector General of Police, Mr, Kayode Egbetokun who was represented by the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade and other stakeholders.

The event celebrated Mr. Adefusi-Owate’s achievements and underscored the importance of his role in enhancing the management and administration of pensions in Ondo State.

Mr. Adefusi-Owate has been a pivotal figure in the Ondo State Pension Commission, spearheading various initiatives aimed at ensuring timely and efficient management of the state pension scheme.

Under his leadership, the commission has implemented several reforms that have streamlined pension processes, reduced bureaucratic bottlenecks, and improved overall service delivery to workers and retirees on the Contributory Pension Scheme.

In his address, the President of CPIN, Alhaji Umaru Kwairanga lauded Mr. Adefusi-Owate for his exemplary leadership and commitment to the pension sector.

The President of CPIN highlighted that the fellowship is a testament to Mr. Adefusi-Owate’s dedication and hard work, which have significantly impacted the lives of many workers in Ondo State.

Mr. Adefusi-Owate expressed his gratitude to CPIN for the honour and recognition.

He dedicated the fellowship to the entire team at the Ondo State Pension Commission, acknowledging their collective efforts in achieving their goals.

Mr Adefusi-Owate who is also a Fellow of the Institute Of Chartered Accountants (ICAN) reaffirmed his commitment to further advancing the pension system in the state and ensuring that workers that retire on the Contributory Pension Scheme receive their entitlements without delay.
