The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Ondo State Chapter, has appealed to Nigerian youths, particularly in Ondo State, to refrain from the planned protest scheduled to begin tomorrow, 1st August 2024.

Funmilayo Ikueduranni, Chairman of Ondo NIPR in a statement on Monday said the Institute understands the frustrations and concerns of the youths regarding the economic hardship facing the country, but believe that protest may not be the most effective way to address these issues.

“Such approach in the past had been counter productive. Instead we encourage the youths to engage in constructive dialogue with the government by tabling their concerns and working together to find solutions.

“We also charge the government at all levels to be responsive to the plight of Nigerians by taking concrete steps to address the economic hardship facing the country and its citizens. The government must be seen to be working to create an enabling environment for economic growth, job creation, and social development. Let us work together to build a better Nigeria for all.”
