The Administrative Secretary of Ondo State Ministry of Information and Orientation, Mrs Toyin Wemimo Onisile on Wednesday retired from the State Civil Service after clocking the mandatory 60 years of age.
Mrs Onisile whose pen down coincided with her 60th birthday ceremony said she is so fulfilled after retiring from the service.
She said God has been grateful to her all along and she has no regret as God only gives.
“I have enjoyed God’s grace and my children and family members were supportive. They were there for me and I don’t have any regret leaving at the level I am,” she said.
On the challenges faced during the service years, Mrs Onisile said the routine habit of waking up early as a journalist to attend to assignments and returning late at times, are some of the challenges she faced, which were managed with endurance and perseverance.
On her book presentation, “more than spicy, a tale of spices,” Mrs Onisile noted that the health challenges most people face spurred her to write a book about the use of spices to control those health issues.
She advised her subordinates at the ministry to be united and committed to work.
The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Wale Akinlosotu described Mrs Onisile as a diligent, dutiful, humble and selfless civil servant who contributed her quota to the progress of the State.
Highpoint of the event was the announcement to the celebrant by the head of service, Mr Bayo Philips that her promotion to grade level 17 has been approved by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
