Community leaders in Akure North local government have praised the Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the inclusion of rural communities in his government.
The leaders who described the development as unprecedented, however charged the Governor to ensure his beautiful projects are not destroyed by saboteurs.
While speaking during the visit by Community Engagement for Lucky Aiyedatiwa (CELA), Oba Omotayo Adu, the Asinigbo of Isinigbo declared support for Aiyedatiwa’s government and requested that the engagement with rural communities be sustained by the Governor.
According to him, “We are you aware of Aiyedatiwa’s beautiful efforts – he is a listening Governor. We are therefore calling on him to ensure that the state government takes over our community school for effective education. Our letter is already before him and we seek his approval.”
Oba Adeshina, the Olu of Eleyowo appreciated the state government for keeping in touch with the grassroots with this movement and opined that if sustained, the rural communities will be more connected to development enabled by the state government.
Youths in Dada community however stated their readiness to support the state government in its bid to ensure food security.
According to them, the community has the capacity to produce enough food to feed the state and government intervention in Agriculture can improve this capacity such that the community will be able to feed the nation.
Community leaders in Ala community expressed confidence in the administration of Lucky Aiyedatiwa and demanded for more government presence in the community.
The convener of the group, Iwakun Adeolu stressed the need to support Aiyedatiwa’s government and diligently manage government’s project erected for the use of rural inhabitants.
According to him, the Aiyedatiwa government will do everything to ensure rural dwellers feel the impact of good governance.
The Media head, Seun Aruwajoye commended the cooperation and peaceful organization of the community dwellers.
