Ahead of the November 16, 2024 Gubernatorial election, the Peoples Democratic Party State Working Committee (SWC) on Monday lifted the suspension of State Youth Leader, Comrade Folorunso Makinde.
Kennedy Ikantu Peretei, State Publicity Secretary, PDP, Ondo State in a statement noted that the decision to lift the suspension was taken at a meeting of the SWC held on Monday, 1st July, 2024 at the State Secretariat, Akure.
“It is in the spirit of general reconciliation to reposition the party for victory at the Guber polls.
“Recall that, Makinde was suspended as State Youth Leader as a fall out of the “Aketi Must Resume Or Resign” protest spearheaded by the Youths Wing of the PDP. He has since shown remorse and has been accordingly reabsorbed into the SWC.
“Our party will leave no stone unturned in our march to Alagbaka Government House, come November this year,” the statement explained.
