Alex Kalejaye, the publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has dismissed as unfounded allegation from the PDP that the APC plans to compromise the November 16 election.
The PDP had on Tuesday alleged through its publicity secretary, Kennedy Peretei that APC plans to compromise the poll.
But in a swift reaction to a chat with Precision Online Newspaper, the APC spokesperson who said “the campaign team is just returning from Ilaje tonight”, added that the party has no plan to compromise the election, having prepared well ahead of the poll.
“It is unfounded. The resolve of the All Progressives Congress is to campaign and comb every part of the State. We visited every ward and local government areas, informing them about what we have done in the last four weeks, and what we will do to ameliorate hardship being faced by the people, especially with the subsidy removal.
“The APC-led government has impacted lives; we have touched every segment of the society. From the traditional institution, the education sector, the agriculture sector, to the small scale group, the story has been that of continuity.
“We therefore, have no reason to contemplate any untoward measure or step ahead of the election. The people have assured us of their willingness to renew the mandate given to us some four years ago,” Kalejaye added.
