The Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu has congratulated members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo state council, on the successful completion of this year’s press week.
Akinlosotu also scored practicing journalists and media outfits in the state high in terms of adherence to ethical practice.
Otunba Akinlosotu, who said he has been enjoying maximum support and cooperation from the media, further noted that today’s event is yet another opportunity to celebrate professionals who have distinguished themselves in integrity and service to humanity.
Particularly he appreciated the leadership of the NUJ under the able Chairmanship of Prince Leke Adegbite stressing that the state government is not unaware of the challenges facing the media and is poised to continue to identify them and provide the needed support to ensure journalist work in conducive working environment.
He thanked the media for their support for Mr. Governor even in the face of struggles for justice while he was the sitting Deputy Governor stressing that the hope of the common man remains in a free press
He also used the opportunity to restate the commitment of the Governor to meeting identified needs as critical partners and stakeholders in Ondo State.
