Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi, majority leader in the Ondo State House of Assembly has paid tribute to the Late Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu.
Ogunmolasuyi in a press release made available to precision online newspaper, noted that today, Friday marks one year since the passing of a remarkable leader, a true patriot, and an exemplary statesman, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, former Governor of Ondo State.
The statement read;
“On this solemn occasion, I, Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi, Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, join the good people of Ondo State in honouring the life, legacy, and enduring contributions of this great son of the Sunshine State.
”Arakunrin Akeredolu was more than a governor; he was a visionary leader who dedicated his life to serving Ondo State and Nigeria. An unwavering commitment to justice, infrastructural development, and the empowerment of the people marked his administration. As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, he championed the rule of law, leaving behind a legacy of fairness and equity that inspires leaders within and beyond our state. He was a leader who cared about his region and, therefore, a fierce advocate of utmost security.
“His tenure as governor witnessed transformative strides in key sectors, including education, health, agriculture, and industrialization. From the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub to improving road networks and promoting local entrepreneurship, his initiatives reflected his passion for a prosperous and self-reliant Ondo State.
“As we remember Arakunrin Akeredolu today, we also acknowledge his strength of character and the values he instilled in governance. He was a man of principle, a unifier, and a leader who believed in the power of collective progress. His humility and dedication to the welfare of the people remain a guiding light for those of us entrusted with leadership responsibility. I urge all indigenes and residents of Ondo State to use this moment of remembrance to reflect on the virtues and vision that defined Arakunrin Akeredolu’s leadership.
