The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), University of Medical Sciences branch has congratulated Prof. Adolphus Loto on his appointment as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of UNIMED, Ondo.
Prof. Loto was appointed acting VC by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Friday following the expiration of the five-year tenure of former VC, Prof. Adesegun Fatusi.
SSANU in a statement signed by its Chairman Comrade, Oluseyi Abayomi appraised the unimpeachable character of the don and believes his appointment would bring hope, sanity and development to the University at this critical time.
“Prof A. O. Loto is famously known as a resolute individual, with high integrity, resilience, courageous, seasoned and experienced academic and administrator. With these uncommon characters, it is believed that UNIMED would be placed on an enviable height during the period of his leadership.
“Prof. Loto has been instrumental in the developmental strides of the University and in saving the life of the University by his stance for honesty, truth, integrity, due process, transparentcy, accountability and quality learning and service delivery within his domain.
“SSANU believes that Prof. Loto’s appointment would give hope to the University at this critical period in life of the University and would position the University for greatness more than ever before. SSANU pledges its support and collaborations to the Ag. Vice Chancellor in order to develop the University and staff welfare,” the statement read.
