The Vice-Chancellor, University of Ilesa (UNILESA), Osun State, Professor Taiwo Asaolu has emphasized the need to foster a positive and mutually beneficial relationship between academic institution and the surrounding communities.

the University, local community, and relevant stakeholders. The purpose of the Committee is to promote cooperation,
understanding, and mutual benefit
between our institution and the surrounding communities.”
Prof. Asaolu added that the specific objectives of the Committee are:

“You will all agree with me that the University of Ilesa, Osun State, is indeed a blessing to the community, bringing about great socioeconomic development and opportunities for growth.
“The huge investment of the University in sports development is a great example of
this, with its sports centre and facilities now serving as a hub for sporting activities, which are open to the public.
“Our plan to establish a College of Health Sciences is another exciting development. The College will obviously need a Teaching Hospital Complex and through this, the community can look forward to benefiting from quality healthcare services.

“The Committee will meet regularly to discuss issues of mutual concern,
develop initiatives to promote
community engagement, and collaborate with local authorities to address shared challenges.
