Ondo Deputy Gov., Adelami Rejoices With Olowo of Owo over Appointment as Chairman, Council of Obas

Dr Olayide Adelami, deputy governor of Ondo state, has rejoiced with the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye II, over his appointment as the chairman of Ondo State Council of Traditional Rulers.

The deputy governor in a congratulatory message made available to newsmen by his media aide, John Paul Akinduro, said the monarch has distinguished himself in conduct and traditional affairs, making him most suitable to pilot the affairs of traditional rulers in the state.

“Kabiyesi, the Olowo of Owo, is an accomplished public servant, who got to the peak of his career without blemish and since being in the saddle as the custodian of our culture and tradition, the Olowo has been very phenomenal.

“I have no doubt he will bring to bare, his wealth of experience, administrative acumen and robust network in shaping the council for a greater Ondo state” Adelami eulogized the Olowo.

He tasked the monarch on working with other traditional rulers to sustain peace in the state and preserve the Yoruba values.

According to him, “The support of the traditional institution for our government is very crucial at this critical time to help sustain the peace in our state. Therefore, Kabiyesi, I urge you to rally fellow monarchs to ensure maximum collaboration with our government in its drive to protect our people where they live, work and play”

Adelami thanked Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the appointment and for his reverence and support for the traditional institution.

“On behalf of the good people of Ondo state, I want to appreciate Mr Governor for finding the Olowo fit to coordinate the traditional rulers in the state. Also, I want to thank the governor for prioritising the welfare of the traditional rulers in the state” the deputy governor concluded.
