The gesture of Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose to release 80 percent of the government house fuel to the people has received accolades but not without some knocks and criticism.

According to a political commentator and analyst Saliu Akeem Dennis on Facebook, governor Ayodele Fayose was accused of double standard.
Citing the role Fayose played during the debacle with independent marketers in the state some months back which led to acute fuel scarcity across Ekiti state, Governor Fayose was seen associating with sellers of PMS by black marketers while the crisis lasted.

“I don’t hate Gov Ayo Fayose, but I hate anyone fooling me.
Same governor, my governor, who soaked Ekiti people in the unnecessary fuel scarcity for months, is the one that promised to release 60,000 liters for Ekiti people from the state government’s reservoir, at same price as Total, NNPC, Bovas et al. Please, it is our responsibility to note that both the government and its petrol in stock are owned by the people.

Unavoidably, federal government should be queried for this hardship, and be crucified as well, but not for any individual to be amassing unnecessary relevance in proxy.

As a people, if you fall for everything; you will die for anything.” Saliu Dennis submitted
