The Federation of International Women Lawyers (FIIDA) in Ekiti State has threatened a legal action against a member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dare Pelemo for alleged sexual harassment of a widow in the state.
Officer in charge of the legal department of the Female lawyers, Kemi Atitebi told Adaba FM News that different invitations sent to Hon. Dare Pelemo to come for mediation to settle the matter amicably were not honoured.
Dare Pelemo, a legislator representing Ekiti East constituency 2, at the state house of Assembly allegedly assaulted and indecently fondled the breasts of Mrs Mercy Ilesanmi at the state Assembly complex.
The victim, Mercy Ilesanmi when contacted said that she went to the Assembly complex to visit the majority leader of the house when the lawmaker molested her and tore her cloth .

Efforts by to speak with the lawmaker did not yield a positive result as several phone calls put to his mobile line were not answered.
