The management of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo has reacted to the letter of notice to proceed on a two-week warning strike by its non-teaching staff.

Precision Online Newspaper reports that the University in a circular signed by the institution’s registrar, Dr Woleola Ekundayo, warned that staff who proceeded on the warning strike, would have themselves to blame, as it would enforce the “no work, no pay” policy.

The University added that the “no work, no pay” policy became imperative, since the union leaders failed to follow the provisions of the Trade Unions (Amendment) Act, which stated that a seven-day warning strike should be the first step before a two-week industrial action.
