A former National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Dayo Adeyeye, has announced his resignation from the party.
He announced his resignation from the party after a meeting with loyalists and supporters at his campaign office in Ado Ekiti.
Meamwhile, Mr Adeyeye while speaking on Voice 89.9 FM in Ado Ekiti on Thursday alleged that the governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has impoverished the state.
He said, “The last record from the DMO is that Ekiti is owing over 57 billion naira. This debt is incurred by this government not previous governments.
“I’m not surprised about what is happening to us in Ekiti. Fayose once said it in Fresh FM that his father told him Ekiti people would serve him till his death. I cannot be part of those who will serve a miscreant perpetually,” Adeyeye said.
Adeyeye had on Tuesday participated in the PDP primaries where he was defeated by the deputy governor of the state, Prof Olusola Kolapo Eleka, a result he described as farce.
