Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, has warned Nigerians against going through third party to get Driver’s License (DL), even as he disclosed that the cost is N6,350 and can be obtained from any DL office by applicants after a bio-metric capturing.
The FRSC boss said this at a one-day workshop organized by the corps for members of security agencies in the country on verification procedure of DL and number plates.
He said authentic licenses were produced in all the licensing offices in the country and that the process was very easy to follow.
“Going through third party costs more money and produces fake license to unsuspecting applicants, which is an offence. Cost of original driver’s license is N6,350 and the applicant must go for biometrics at any licensing office across the country to obtain the license.” Oyeyemi said.
