The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has approved a special
intervention programme to give attention to the deplorable condition of
some federal roads in the state.

The programme tagged “emergency repairs’ would commence with the dreaded Owo-Ikare road in the northern
senatorial district with the aim of alleviating the challenges faced by
road users on the route.

The Chairman of OSARMCO, Mr Kehinde Osikoya said one
rehabilitation team would commence work at the Owo axis while another
would start massive rehabilitation from the Ikare axis.

Mr Osikoya added that another rehabilitation team would carry
out similar works by the middle of the road, saying that the pace at which OSARMCO executes projects would again
be demonstrated on the dreaded road.
With this development, the people of the state and road
users will not have to wait endlessly for the federal government for the repairs.
