Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the programme of events to mark Nigeria’s 56th independence anniversary.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the Director of Press in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Mr Bolaji Adebiyi disclosed this in a statement in Abuja.
As part of the events, Mr Adebiyi said an interdenominational thanksgiving church service is scheduled for Sunday, September 25 at the National Worship Centre, Abuja.
A public lecture and Friday (Jumma’at) prayers are slated for Friday, September 30 in that order at the National Mosque, Abuja.
He noted that attendance to the Presidential Change of Guard scheduled for October 1 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja would be strictly by invitation.
