Ondo 2016: INEC Begins Configuration Of Card Readers On Thursday

Ahead of the November 26 Governorship election in Ondo State, The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC is to start the
configuration of Smart Card Readers to be used for the election on Thursday.

 

INEC in its bulletin released
in Abuja said it would also commence a
two-day training for Collation and Returning Officers for the election starting on Monday next week.
Over 16,000 personnel are to be deployed for the election, while distribution of permanent voter cards, PVC had been concluded.
The election is to hold in the 18 Local Government Areas, 203 Registration Areas, and 3,010 Polling Units of the state.
28 candidates including four women are participating in the election to choose the successor to Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
