Car Crash: UNIBEN Mourns Deceased Lecturers

The management of the University of Benin, UNIBEN has announced a three day mourning for the three Department of Pharmacy lecturers involved in a car crash last week. 

 

In a statement by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Osasuyi, the management declared the three day mourning period from Wednesday, 14th December to Friday 16th December 2016 to honour the three academic staff from the faculty of Pharmacy who were involved in the crash. 
The statement noted that a procession around the campus would be held on Wednesday, 14th December at 10.am with take off point at the faculty of Pharmacy New building.
“The management also used the medium to sympathize with the families, staffs, colleagues and students of the departed.” The statement read. 
The lecturers involved in the crash are Prof. Okunrobo (H.O.D, Pharmaceutical Chemistry), Dr Idemudia (Pharmaceutical Microbiology Dept) and Rev. Joseph (Pharmaceutical Microbiology).
They died while on their way back from a conference on Biotechnology at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University on last week Thursday.
