It Is Ignorant To Assert That The USA Invites Heads Of States To Its Inauguration – Femi Adesina

Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina has dispelled the rumour going the rounds that President Buhari is ill.

Mr Adesina said this in Lagos during a television interview on channels television that the President only went on vacation as earlier reported.  

Asked about an imminent change in the President’s cabinet, Mr Adesina disclosed that such decision is within the President’s prerogative. 

Mr Adesina who also assured Nigerians that the country would come out of recession this year, expressed confidence that with the present economic policies put in place by the government the economy would improve in the years to come. 

On the Niger Delta crisis,  the President’s Spokesperson said there are many options on ground to nip the crisis in the bud, but the President believed in peace to resolve the challenges. 

Asked why President Buhari was not invited to the US President inauguration, Mr Adesina said it is the height of ignorance to politicised such issue. 

According to him, the United States of America does not invite Heads of States to her inauguration, adding that it only invites Ambassadors of countries to the United States for such ceremony.
