The federal government of Nigeria has revealed that the latest set of chibok girls numbering 82 released by Boko Haram yesterday was a prisoner swap deal between the Presidency and radical group.
In a series of tweets to set the record straight, the Presidency assured Nigerians that efforts are on top gear to ensure the release of the remaining girls still in BH captivity.
The statement from the tweet also noted that President Muhammadu Buhari will recieve the girls in the state house later today Sunday, May 7, 2017.
The Presidency expressed appreciation to the security agencies in the country, the red cross and the swiss government for the roles they played in facilitating the release of yet another 82 girls.
