Ekiti 2018: Ekiti-Born US Army Veteran Joins Race

An Ekiti-Born US Army veteran, Babatunde Alegbeleye who has lived in America for 47 years has thrown his cap into the battle for who govern the state in 2018.

THE PRECISION learnt that the US Army veteran is yet to identify with any Nigerian political party, but says several parties have been wooing him for Ekiti’s top seat.
The 60 year old has expressed optimistism about his chances to become the next governor of Ekiti state after the tenure of the sitting governor, Ayodele Fayose expires in 2018.
With just under a year to the Ekiti elections, more than 40 governorship aspirants have thrown their caps into the race.
