Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajibola today inaugurated the first-of-its-kind higher institution known as The Technical University, Ibadan [TechU].
“To the glory of God and the good of our youths and the society, we commissioned the Technical University, Ibadan today,” the governor announced on his offical facebook page.
He said, “Oyo state government has risen to the challenges of our education to set up this university with a mission to cultivate a cadre of of technical professionals with requisite entrepreneurial skills, capable of creating jobs and employment.”
THE PRECISION learnt that the university will be tailored towards empowering the youths with practical education and knowledge that is tailor-made for societal peculiarities.
According to Mr Ajimobi the project is a Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) intervention project that keys into the transformation agenda of the Oyo State government.
