Osinbajo Signs N7.441 Trillion Appropriation Bill Into Law

Nigeria’s Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has signed the 2017 budget of N7.441 trillion into law, hence confirming THE PRECISION exclusive story of early afternoon.

 

The event at the Aso Villa was witnessed by Senate President, Bukola Saraki; House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara; Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari; Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun; Aide to the President on Budget Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma among other top government functionaries.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued in Abuja ahead of the signing, SSA on Media and Publicity to the President , Garba Shehu quoted Mr Buhari as saying the signing is significant, “the signing of the budget by the acting president would further buttress unity at the highest level of government.”
The statememt also stated that the President was delighted over the decision of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to submit 2018 budget proposals by October, while the National Assembly would conclude the Appropriation process by December 2017.
