Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has appointed Justice Olanrewaju Akeredolu of the criminal division in the state high court as the new acting chief judge.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Segun Ajiboye and obtained by THE PRECISION, indicated that the new chief judge will be sworn-in at the Cocoa Conference Hall, Governor’s office, Akure, the state capital.
“Sequel to the appointment of Justice Olanrewaju O. Akeredolu as the Acting Chief Judge by the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, the oath of office will be administered on the Acting Chief Judge on Tuesday, 25thJuly, 2017.
“The swearing-in ceremony has been scheduled to hold at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office by 12noon,” Ajiboye said.
According to the letter of appointment signed by the Governor Akeredolu, the appointment is based on the recommendation of the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of National Judicial Council.
