Akeredolu Calls For Partnership Between Institute Of Directors, PSTI | The Precision

Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has commended the Institute of Directors (IoD) for its capacity building initiative and promised to continually train the state’s workforce to boost the operations of the state’s  civil service.

 

A statement made available to THE PRECISION by the press officer, Governor’s office, Bode Akinwumi, noted that the governor also called on authorities of the IoD when they paid a courtesy visit to him in Akure to partner the state Public Service Training Institute, PSTI, at Ilara-mokin to hasten the plans of bringing the activities of IoD closer to service providers in Ondo State.
Earlier, Council Chairman of the IoD, Samuel Akeju says the institute has the intention to establish a chapter of the institute in Ondo State and as such would require the support of the  State Government.
Mr Akeju said the establishment of the institute in Ondo State would facilitate constant capacity development training programmes for top level managers of the state bureaucracy towards excellent service delivery.
While describing the Public Service as engine room for smooth governance, the IoD President who is also the Chairman of the Institute’s Governance Council pleaded with the State Government to sponsor State’s Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries  and Directors of all Ministries Department and Agencies, MDAs in the State Public Service to attend the proposed flagship course of the Institute for Southwest, Nigeria. 
Copies of the Institute’s periodicals were presented to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
