State of Osun Commissioner for Regional Integration, Bola Ilori has attributed the recent success by the Governors of Ondo, Lagos and Ogun states over the release of the six kidnapped students of Igbonla College, Epe Area of Lagos state to the regional integration recently activated in the western region of Nigeria.

In a facebook post by Mr Ilori and obtained by THE PRECISION, the commissioner noted that the development is in line with the goal of activating regional integration in the western region of Nigeria.

“In line with strategy developed at Abeokuta on Monday this week, the 6 kids kidnapped at Epe in Lagos has been released. At the Western Nigerian Governor’s Forum meeting, Lagos, Ogun and Ondo agreed to shot western region creeks against the criminals to prevent further movement of the kids from where they have tracked. The region resolved to subsequently establish a region wide security net and declared the region zero tolerance area for crime.
“The new found unity and vigour amongst the western governors is already yielding fruits and more is on the way. We are currently working on a 25 years development plan for Western Nigeria.
“Kudos to Gov Ambode, Gov Amosu and Arákùnrin Akeredolu on speedy activation of the adopted strategy against kidnapping,” Ilori noted.

THE PRECISION recall that the Governor of Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu earlier secured the release of the kidnapped school boys having being released by their abductors in Ondo state and subsequently handed them over to the Lagos state deputy governor, Idiat Adebuke during an enlarged press briefing at Alausa, Lagos state.
