A lecturer in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, Lulea University of Technology, Sweden, Dr Musa Idris, has urged government at all levels in Nigeria to release grants to private schools in the country.

THE PRECISION reports that Dr Idris, who is also a lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) gave the charge during the end of session programme of Adab Scholars Academy, FUTA, South gate, Akure.
According to Dr Idris, the government of Sweden where he is also teaching made it as part of its responsibilities to provide grants to schools being run by private bodies.
He said schools established by private bodies are one way or the other assisting the government to providing education for children, hence the government felt the need to reciprocate by given them support grants.
This he said should be imbibed by government at federal, state and local level in Nigeria.
Present at the event were FUTA senior academic staff including Professor Adekunle Smith, Professor Isah Kashim and Dr Dhikrullah Jeje.
