Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) welcome Mountain of Fire Miracles and Ministry Football Club (MFM FC) who will be making a short trip to Sagamu for yet another Southwest derby scheduled to hold on Sunday as they hope to make a firm stand playing in the continent come next season.
The Match Day 32 fixture between MFM FC and RSFC will see both teams rekindle their rivalry despite the contrasting positions between them in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The visitors fought hard to defeat Katsina United 3-2, Onuwa Chukwuka strike help fire the Olukoya Boys back to the second on the log after Destiny Ashadi and Obinna Eleje cancelled two first half goals from Stephen Odey and Sikiru Olatunbosun.
Nyima Nwagua and Sikiru Jamal gave the Masu Gida Boys maximum points in Match Day 31 of the NPFL after defeating the Sky Blue Stars 2-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.
The duo of Obi Ekene and Osas Oknuoghae will face a tougher challenge to silent the three ‘Os’ of the Olukoya Boys (Olatunbosun Sikiru, Odey Stephen and Onuwa Chukwuka) in an interesting encounter billed for the weekend
In the reverse fixture, the Olukoya Boys secured the bragging right over the Sky Blue Stars after Stephen Odey’s spot kick proved the difference at the Soccer Temple in Agege in MatchDay 12 of the league.
It promises to be interesting encounter with both sides brilliant touch on the ball and a wonderful style of play with class from the boys in the NPFL.
Speaking with RSFC Media, Reliable Defender, Onuoha Chukwujekwu feels the game will be interesting because it’s a game between two tiki taka clubsides in the league.
“It’s going to be a delightful contest between two sides who play tiki taka football in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the fans will have no other choice than to enjoy total football on Sunday.”
“They are fighting to stamp their feet to play in the continent next season, they are 2nd on the log now  and they play a kind of football that attract fans to the stadium, likewise ours but our position on the log isn’t showing our worth.”
“We are not happy with our current position but we will still show the world we aren’t meant for 20th and our display against MFM FC would speak for us.”
“The Coach always tell us to play for our career because the future is quite important to us and we would play to interprete all what the coach has taught during training sessions.”
