Having dismissed earlier media reports that the presidency did not issue any statement as to the swearing-in of two new ministers into the federal executive council (FEC), the presidency has now confirmed that they would be sworn-in today, Wednesday 26, July, 2017.
A statement by the senior special assistant to the acting president on media and publicity, Laolu Akande indicated that the swearing-in will now go on before the FEC meeting on wednesday.
THE PRECISION reports that Mr Akande also confirmed the earlier denial of media reports credited to the presidency that there was to be swearing-in today.
According to him Mr Garba Shehu was right due to the fact that none of the media aides mentioned it during their press briefing tuesday afternoon.
His tweet read: “Garba is right. We didn’t confirm swearing-in at briefing: we were not ready then because all formalities were’nt in place. Now they are.”
