Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure today defeated Rivers United Football Club in a crucial away match played in Portharcourt, Rivers state capital.
A goal in the 68th minutes by Thompson Ezekiel ensured that the team returned home with a comfortable 3 point win. The victory is important for the Akure Gunners who are battling relegation after a poor show this season so far.
