The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu says the corps would advertise existing vacancies before the end of 2017.
Gana made this statement to clarify that the corps was currently conducting a documentation and data capturing exercise and not recruitment, as purported.
He said the corps would advertise existing vacancies in major national newspapers “before the end of the year,” as soon as fund was made available.
A statement from the corps spokesman, Emamnuel Okeh noted that “the documentation and data capturing exercise for personnel presently going on at the state commands nationwide is being misconstrued by criminally-minded individuals to mean recruitment or replacement exercise in order to drive home their aim of defrauding unsuspecting Nigerians.”
Gana called “desperate job seekers and the general public” to take note so as not to be defrauded.
