The new Ondo State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan has charged staff of the Ministry to be more dedicated and proactive to their duties.

Speaking at a meeting held on his first day in office in Akure, the Commissioner said “it is a new dawn in Ondo state, as the government of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is determined to turn the state around positively by ensuring quality and robust economic initiatives are put in place to the betterment of the people, all hands must be on deck to ensure that the vision and mission of the present administration is achieved.”
A statement by the ministry’s press officer, Sola Omoboyowa and made available to THE PRECISION noted that Pastor Igbasan called on the entire staff of the ministry to cooperate with him in achieving the set goals which he intend to achieve in the ministry and the state in general, adding that the government will be depending on them for guidance on Economic and Budget matters. 
He added that he will do his best to make sure he left the office better than he met it.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr Chris Kolawole welcomed the new commissioner to the office. He said the ministry is the umbrella body of all other ministries and agencies of government by preparing budget and planning for the government.
The Permanent Secretary promised that the entire staff of the ministry are ready to support the Commissioner in achieving the desire goals for the betterment of the state, noting that the workers in the ministry are hard working staff.
Also speaking, the Statistician General of the state, Mr Dayo Aregbsola, said the bureau of statistics is saddled with the responsibility of generating data for planning for the government, which he said will help the government to make adequate planning.
