Update: Police Rescues Man Caught After Kidnapping A Child In Ondo, Case Transfered To Akure | The Precision

The man apprehended by residents of Ondo city following a tip off that he tried to kidnap a school child has now been transfered to Akure, the state capital for further briefing, THE PRECISION has learnt.

 

In a telephone chat with THE PRECISION, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Enu Owa Police Station, Ondo, Mr Express Omoigui confirmed that the alleged case of kidnapping by the middle-aged man is now with the force headquarters in Akure.

“the man has been taken to Akure so any other inquiry should be directed there.. to the state headquarters… just contact Akure, I am not authorised to speak, they will shed more light on it,” the DPO said.
THE PRECISION also gathered from another officer who preferred anonymity that the family of the man have contacted the station claiming he is suffering from mental illness.
