Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN has described the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado (ABUAD), Chief Afe Babalola, SAN, as moulder and builder of  future leaders as well as a philanthropist of repute.

Speaking at the 5th convocation ceremony of the university in Ado, the Ekiti state capital, the governor said the legal luminary has proved this through quality education provided by his university  for the people within and outside Nigeria.
Mr Akeredolu who was represented by his deputy, Honourable Agboola Ajayi, urged Chief Babalola to continue the good works and service to humanity, noting that God will adequately compensate him.

He  charged the graduating students to put into use the knowledge they have acquired at the university,being already has equipped to face challenges that may likely confront them as they journey on. 
In his remarks, founder of ABUAD, Afe Babalola, SAN, said the institution would continue to maintain its integrity,adding that law graduates from the university always perform excellently at the law school.
Chief Babalola stressed that God and hard work are the secret of success recorded at the university. 
He  charged the graduands to be good ambassadors of the institution anywhere they find themselves.
In his address,the  Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Michael Ajisafe said 83 graduated with first class and 869 graduands were conferred with Bachelor degrees in various courses by the institution.
Processor Ajisafe added that the  number of fist class graduates produced in the institution confirmed the quality and standard of education in the university. 
He listed uninterrupted power supply, full-residential policy for all students as promoted by Chief Afe Baba lola, discipline and competent staff as some of the things that stands the university out. 
The Vice Chancellor said the degrees being awarded by the university can compete favourably with any international universities “certificates offered here are scrutinized by external bodies and institutions within and outside the country, so our degrees command global respect.” he stated. 
He added  that the institution would continue to strive hard until it realizes the dream of becoming one of the 100 best universities  in the world.
Speaking on behalf of the graduands, the best graduating student, master Ahwin Kevin Akporode said it was a privilege for them to have studied at the university,stressing that the institution is a pride to education in Nigeria and Africa in general.
Akporode who graduated with the Cumulative Gross Product, (CGP), of 5.0 from school of Mechanical Engineering, said studying in the school gave him the opportunity to meet different categories of people which have made him to be better off. 
He  commended the founder, Aare Afe Babalola for using his wealth and time to reshape education in Africa, which he said positions youth to be pioneers of change for tomorrow.
The 21-year old Delta state indigene thanked parents and guardians who have invested in the education of their children and wards. 
The convocation  attracted eminent personalities within and outside the state  including Governors of Ondo and Ekiti, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and Mr Ayo Fayose, ex governor of Niger state, Alhaji Babaginda Aliyu, top government functionaries and traditional rulers including Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Ewi of Ado, Oba Rufus Adejuyigbe among others.
In another development, the deputy Governor of Ondo state, honourable Agboola Ajayi was at the Solemnization of Holy Matrimony between Ayomikun Ayinuike and Oluwaseun Damilola Olabimtan held at Gospel Apostolic Church, Akure, where he advised the couple to imbibe the fear of God and make trust their watchword.
While wishing them a blissful married life, honorable Agboola Ajayi stressed the importance of oneness and unity of purpose in the new home. 
Agboola Ajayi congratulated father of the groom & Special Adviser to Ondo State governor on community development, Hon Victor Olabimtan and prayed for the success of the new home. 
The wedding ceremony attracted top government functionaries, commissioners and traditional rulers.
