State Government has adopted media briefing on outcomes from its weekly
State Executive Council meeting.
According to the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Yemi
Olowolabi, the media briefing will be coming up every week shortly after
the State Executive Council meeting.
This development, Mr Olowolabi said would enable the people be kept
abreast of efforts the Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Administration is putting
into repositioning the state across all sectors for the well-being of
all residents.
At inception, the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,
SAN, promised Ondo State people ” Leadership with Integrity” and later
on announced five cardinal programmes that would entrench change in Ondo
State.
The programmes which has acronym JMPPR and with: Think Anew, Act Anew” as slogan, are:
Job Creation through Agriculture, Entrepreneurship and Industrialisation.
M– Massive Infrastructural development and maintenance.
P– Promotion of Functional Education and Technological growth.
P– Provision of Accessible and Qualitative Health Care and Social Services delivery.
R– Rural Development and Community Extension Services.
Several analysts have expressed optimisms JMPPR would bring about a new lease of life to the people of Ondo State.
The maiden edition coordinated by the Honourable Commissioner for
Information & Orientation, Mr Yemi Olowolabi was addressed by the
Honourable Commissioners for Finance, Mr Wale Akinterinwa; Physical
Planing and Urban Development, Prince Solagbade Amodeni and Local
Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Lola Fagbemi.
