Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has said that the full implementation of the State Integrated Financial Management Information System (SIFMIS), will bring about good governance.

He says his government has achieved a significant milestone in the SIFMIS implementation journey.
Arakunrin Akeredolu adds that the scheme’s project steering committee has met the required standards and expectation.
The governor is happy to inform members of the public that all data have been migrated to the SIFMIS system, disclosing that users have gone through intensive training and that the system is ready to function in a new way.
While reminding all that the theme of the project is meant to promote good governance through technology, Arakunrin Akeredolu says the scheme is the only way forward for his administration.
According to him, “Like I said during the SIFMIS project launch, I would like to emphasise that SIFMIS is a priority for this administration and must be successful.
“If there is any situation that threatens the success of this project, come to me personally and I will ensure it is resolved. The SIFMIS project, I belief, will drastically change the way we handle our procurement, our accounting processes, our human resources and payroll, the way we pay our vendors and the reports we are able to generate and view. I am very optimistic that SIFMIS will upgrade our civil service to a highly effective and efficient standard.”
The governor urges all civil servants in the state to embrace and drive the operationalisation of the scheme.
He adds that members of the state executive acknowledge that SIFMIS will bring about changes in the way civil servants work within the Civil Service system.
The governor remarks that the civil servants are not alone in the journey to bring about a new way of achieving better service delivery.
He assures them that they will continue to get required support until SIFMIS is fully embedded.
