“I want to make clarification about a publication renting the air that the osopadec chairman has embezzled OSOPADEC funds and one of the prominent issue in the said publication of Afrosky news media is as regards the commission bursary and scholarships scheme where the news media claim that not up to 2,000 student benefited from the scheme,” Olowoparija said.
Below is the full text of comrade Olowoparija’s statement:
I want to state the following in clear terms.
(I). The new media (Afrosky) is mischievous in the said publication.
(II). About 5,100 students comprising the PhD, M.sc, P.gd and undergraduate students have been paid with clear evidence shown to us by the distinguished Chairman of the board.
(III). The remaining students which has not been paid was instructed to come to the commission with their bank details or send their correct bank details to the commission.
(IV). The student from Ese-odo local government want to dissociate ourselves from unconfirmed and false allegations levelled against the chairman.
(V). We also want to state that we the students of Ese-odo are peace loving students and we wouldn’t take any act of sabotaging a leader with outstanding personality or rubbishing the image of a distinguished leader instead of praising him.
We want to use this golden privilege to thanks the chairman of Osopadec for his outstanding performance for less than a year after taking the mantle of leadership of the commission and we also want to appeal to him for prompt release of the 2015/2016 Osopadec bursary.
Thanks in anticipation
Yours forever in struggle,
Com. Olowoparija Segun .f.
Ex-Gcfr, Ese-odo students union.
