The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter has tasked the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to ensure that the petrol scarcity currently experienced in the State is curtailed.
State Chairman of the Institute, Mr Ishola Lamidi made the assertion when he led a delegation of the institute on a courtesy visit to the management of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in the state.
Mr Ishola who said the scarcity has made life difficult for drivers and commuters in the state, called for urgent measures to address the problem
In his response, the state Commandant of the NSCDC, Pedro Ideba said several interactions have been made with key stakeholders to ensure that the product is not hoarded and made available to the public.
He however called on government to ensure that the landing cost to the petroleum marketers is not manipulated at a loss to help them stay in business.
