President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the leaders of the National Assembly over the recent killings in Benue state.
Present at the meeting held on Sunday night at the Aso Villa were the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara at the Aso Villa.
The meeting according the personal assistant of the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, was to brief the National Assembly leadership on ongoing efforts at finding a lasting solution to the security situation in Benue and other parts of the country.
The President is also expected to meet stakeholders from Benue state today (Monday) as part of efforts to resolving the recurrent crisis among farmers and herdsmen in the state.
