The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation based in Anambra State has donated 611 volumes of books to Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo as parts of efforts to meet school needs in the African continent.

The donation, facilitated by the College Governing Council chairman, Professor Nath Ohazurike, was received by the Acting College Librarian, Mr. Akinade Awoyemi, at Ifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The books cover disciplines as agriculture, biology, chemistry, economics, general studies, geography, history, home economics, languages, physical and health education and sociology.
Mr. Awoyemi described the donation of the books to the Babs Fafunwa Library, established since the inception of the College in 1964, as a boost to teaching and learning in the institution.

The donation was part of the 5th donations by the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation to schools in Africa. The foundation had in previous years donated books massively to schools across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria and in various parts of Africa.
The project, which had gulped over 26 million US dollars, is a collaboration between the foundation and Books for Africa (BFA), a nonprofit organisation based in the United States.
