Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday paid a visit to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in Umuahia, Abia State capital.
The former President, who is in Abia State on a personal visit to Item village in Bende Local Government Area, however, refused to comment on his lengthy public statement where he advised President Muhammadu Buhari not to seek re-election but should in a dignified way dismount from the horse (seat of power).
Obasanjo in response to questions by journalists in Umuahia on the public statement only said ‘all is well,’ as he declined to questions with a wave of hands.
In the public statement released on Tuesday, January 23 and titled, ‘The Way Out: A Clarion Call For Coalition For Nigerian Movement’ the former President raised concerns about various national issues ranging from the economy, security and political state of the nation.
He also said in the public statement that he thinks President Buhari needs time to reflect and refurbish physically adding that he knew is weak in the knowledge and understanding of the economy and it is evident in his administration as the economy does not obey a military order. (Channels TV)
