Thunderstorm Hit Over 50 Houses In Emure-Ile, Akeredolu Visits Victims | The Precision

Over fifty buildings at Emure Ile in Owo council area of Ondo state had their roofs blown off in yesterday’s downpour that was accompanied by a thunderstorm.

Some of the worst hit areas in the first rain of the year, include Odooja, Agoebira, Awolowo, Surulere, Community road, and Unaun streets.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who visited the scenes of the incident, expressed shock and assured residents of the ancient town that the state government would provide necessary relief materials next week to the affected victims.
While thanking God that no life was lost in the incident, Akeredolu reiterated his administration’s determination to continually assist the people especially during distress.
The Elemure of Emure Ile, Oba Adedubaje Adeyefa and a youth leader in the town, Sola Ogunmolasuyi who narrated how the incident happened appreciated the governor for coming to their aid despite his busy schedule.
The governor was accompanied on the visit by the Secretary to the State Government, Ifedayo Abegunde and his Chief of Staff, Olugbenga Ale
