Minister of Interior Lt Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau were present at the

President Buhari earlier held a meeting with security chiefs on Friday, January 26 in Abuja. The security chiefs at the meeting briefed the President on activities of their respective agencies.
President
Buhari has come under severe criticism over his handling of Nigeria’s
security. Many have been killed in the northern region and middle belt
region of the country in various attacks as a result of the security
challenge. Buhari in reaction to criticisms has refuted the claim of
sloppiness in his approach, saying he has since given orders for
necessary action to be taken by the security agencies.

The incessant killings following the insecurity challenge confronting the nation have also made the House of Representatives ask President Buhari, to sack and replace the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris.

Director General NIA, Ahmed Rufai, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant
General TY Buratai, Representatives of Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of
