The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has conferred on Prof. Isiaka Adekunle Amoo, the most oustanding professional award (academics) of Ibadan land. 

 

The award ceremony, which is part of the 2018 Cultural Festival Ceremony took place at Ibadan House, Oke-Aremo had in attendance former Minister, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, Elder Wole Oyelese, a PDP chieftain in Oyo State, the Chief Imam of Akure, Alhaji Abdulakeem Yayi Akorede, traditional rulers, members of CCII and Ibadan Indigenes home and abroad.
In his address, the chairman of the occassion Prof. Adedoja lauded CCII for chosen credible Ibadan indigenes for the award and task the awardees to continue contributing to the development of Ibadan Land. 
In his words, “award is not just an ordinary thing, is a recognition of people that have contributed to the development of Nigeria including Ibadan, so today’s award by CCII is very significant for the development of Ibadan”.
The President- General of CCII, Yemi Soladoye, in his address said all the awardees are worthy ambassador of Ibadan and deserved to be honoured by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes. 
Speaking after receiving the award as the most outstanding Professional (academics) of Ibadan, Prof. Isiaka Adekunle Amoo, a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Federal University of Technology Akure and the Governing Board Chairman of Islamic Day Secondary School, Basorun, Ibadan appreciated CCII for counting him worthy for such award. “I am dedicating this award to the Amoos, The Chief Imam of Akure and my amiable wife and I will to contribute towards the development of Ibadan,” Amoo said. 
In an interview with the Principal Islamic Day Secondary School Bashorun, Ibadan, Mrs M. B Dairo said Prof. Amoo deserved to be honoured with such prestigious award. She added that Prof. Amoo has been contributing a lot to improve the standard of Islamic Day Secondary School and advised him to continue with his good works.
