The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship primary election in Ekiti State has been suspended indefinitely.

This followed disruption of the process by hoodlums, who beat security check to disrupt the exercise holding in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, over allegation that one of the aspirants monetized the process and they are not confident of a free and credible poll.
Chairman of the APC Governorship Primary electoral committee, Governor Tanko Al Makura of Nassarawa State left venue of the election without addressing journalists.
Some delegates who spoke with AIT’s Adesuyan Joseph expressed displeasure over action of some party delegates and observers.
The APC Primary Election was to produce the party’s candidate for the July 14 Governorship Election.
Thirty-three aspirants participated in the aborted primary election.
