Efforts by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to make Ondo State self-sufficient in rice production receives a major boost today, May 10, 2018, as the governor pledged to provide the needed assistance aimed at assessing loans from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for farmers in the state.
Governor Akeredolu says he will ensure that nothing hinders his government’s plan to put Ondo State in the league of mass rice producers.
Akeredolu stated this when the management of Sunshine Rice Mill, led by Mr. Akeem Alade, paid him a courtesy call to give to give the governor an update on the activities of the establishment.
The governor, told the management of the Sunshine Rice Mill to come to him for necessary intervention , particularly on issues with CBN.
He said: “If you have problem with the CBN, you should let us know for necessary intervention.”
Akeredolu, amid appreciation by the management of the Sunshine Rice Mill, pledged to provide infrastructure, including roads and electricity, that would aid the activities of the firm.
Speaking earlier, Mr. Alade praised the governor for supporting the management to make Sunshine Rice Mill a success.
