According to her  media aide, Comrade Adeola Ariyo, “Erelu is on her way to the PDP.
He said all is set for Erelu Modupe to move to the new party as her supporters have agreed and concluded all arrangements for the defection.
Ariyo emphasized  that, the people of the region (Ondo south senatorial) have suffered enough in the hands of APC and hence the need for Erelu Modupe to pitch her tent with the Peoples Democratic Party. According to him, all hands have now been on deck to save the people from the shackles of the so-call progressive party.
“The good people of ondo south senatorial have made up their minds and concluded to pitch their tents with the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP).

Ariyo said the SDP is not well positioned to wrestle power from the APC. “The SDP does not have the required spread and commitment to effect any change of government come 2019. He therefore call on the masses to move massively into the PDP.
According to Ariyo, “the party especially at the state level has been in a total mess after the former State Secretary, Hon. Dele Ogunbameru defected out of the SDP on October 24th, 2017 with more than half of the State structure. The exit of Erelu Modupe at this point in time, means that the party only exist as a nomenclature at the state level.
Speaking  from the  reception organized by her supporters to mark her birthday, Erelu modupe called on the Federal Government to ensure the speedy release of the remaining Dapchi School girl, Leah Sharibu that is held in Boko Haram captivity since 19th of February, 2018.
